Tamales & Mariachi Festival

Start Date: Saturday, December 6th @ 10:00 am
End Date: Saturday, December 6th @ 4:00 pm

Celebrate the vibrant flavors and musical traditions of Latin culture at the annual Tamales & Mariachi Festival, taking place on Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza at the Las Vegas Civic Center. This free, family-friendly outdoor festival brings together the best of Mexico and Central America through delicious food, live mariachi performances, artisanal vendors, and community celebration.

The plaza transforms into a lively holiday destination as award-winning musicians and local performers fill the air with traditional mariachi music. Guests can sample an incredible variety of tamales—from classic red chile and green chile to sweet, modern, and gourmet interpretations—prepared by top local vendors and family-owned businesses. With festive energy, cultural pride, and warm holiday spirit, this event is one of the most anticipated seasonal gatherings in Downtown Las Vegas.

A celebration of culture, flavor & community

The Tamales & Mariachi Festival is designed to honor long-standing culinary traditions while creating a welcoming space for families and guests of all ages. As you explore the outdoor plaza, you’ll find steaming batches of tamales wrapped in husks and banana leaves, handcrafted salsas, Latin pastries, and comforting holiday dishes prepared by skilled local cooks. Many recipes have been passed down through generations, giving the festival an authentic and heartfelt atmosphere.

Alongside the food, the festival’s music lineup brings world-class entertainment to the Civic Center. This year’s performers include:

• Mariachi Los Camperos – Grammy Award-winning ensemble
• Mariachi Las Catrinas
• Angelica Vargas with Mariachi Alma del Sol

Their performances create a festive mood that fills the entire plaza—inviting dancing, celebrating, and unforgettable holiday memories.

Artisan vendors, holiday shopping & family activities

Beyond food and music, the event also features a curated selection of artisan and specialty vendors offering handmade crafts, jewelry, décor, and unique holiday gifts. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local makers and
find meaningful, one-of-a-kind items for friends and family.

Families will also enjoy interactive children’s games, cultural activities, and festive photo opportunities throughout the space. The entire event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and entertaining for all ages—making it a wonderful way to spend a December afternoon.
