Every first Friday of the month, downtown’s Arts District turns into one big outdoor celebration built around local artists, food, and live music.
The Art Walk runs along Boulder Avenue near the Arts Factory and down 1st Street, where more than 100 selected artists set up to show original paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and textile work. Live painting demonstrations run throughout the walk from 6 to 9:30 pm.
Galleries, shops, and studios across the neighborhood stay open late, so there’s plenty to see beyond the main strip. Add in more than 20 food trucks and music on the Main Stage, and the whole district turns into one long block party.
First Friday has been going strong since 2002, drawing a mix of longtime locals and first-time visitors every month.
